In 1998 I picked up a new '98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX in silver. The GSX is the turbo charged, all-wheel drive, 210 stock horsepower version of the 2nd generation Eclipse. It shares the same powertrain as the 2nd generation Eagle Talon Tsi AWD but a slightly different body. These cars are also known as DSMs because they are manufactured under a co-operation between Mitsubishi and Chrysler; if you place the symbols of these corporations together you get Diamond Star Motors.

As of June 2005 I have traded in the GSX for an Acura TSX. If Mitsubishi had kept the all-wheel drive option on the 3rd or 4th generation Eclipses I would have given serious consideration to them.
